Jeopardy Games in ELT 2011-2012
Jeopardy Games are based on a popular American show. There is a free site (http://www.superteachertools.com/jeopardy/), where educational games can be generated. Besides, there are various ready games, created by teachers all over the world. While playing students are divided into teams and answer the question they choose from a specific category and value. If their answer is correct, they get the value points. The game can be played online, but can be downloaded and played off line, too.
The aim of this activity is to make students interested in the topics, covered in the game. It is useful for exercises and revision of the material in creative way. It stimulates the group work and making decisions.
