UK, Devon, 2012 - A Course on Dogme Teaching. London Revisited
Yes! I was the lucky prizewinner on a free teacher-training course held at SOL (Sharing One language http://www.sol.org.uk/en/index.php ) in North Devon (every year there is a prize draw and one participant in the annual conference of BETA is chosen to attend a free course in England).
The course covered the history and principles of dogme ELT and teaching unplugged, and the application of these ideas to project work and a range of classroom contexts.
With colleague-teachers from six other European countries we participated in real life activities and experienced teaching unplugged visiting seaside villages in North Devon and enjoying the beauty of "real" England. Having interviewed local people in groups, we wrote articles about our experiences and published them in an electronic magazine.
It was one of the most useful professional event I have taken part in.
